Accessibility Statement

The Andalusian Private Tour Co. is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with Royal Decree 1112/2018, of September 7, on accessibility of websites and mobile applications for the public sector.

This accessibility statement applies to The Andalusian Private Tour Co. website theandalusianprivatetourco.com in its entirety.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with Royal Decree 1112/2018, of September 7, due to the exceptions and non-conformities described below related to the EN-301 549 standard.

Non-accessible Content

Despite our continuous effort to ensure website accessibility, we have identified certain content that is not yet fully accessible. These issues include:

  • The booking form has a problem with keyboard navigation. We have detected that when jumping between steps, the focus does not jump to the beginning of the next step, requiring the user to navigate through the focus in reverse order to continue their booking process [Requirement number 9.2.4.3 – Focus Order].
  • In the main menu of the mobile view on all pages in a language other than English, the control to open and close the menu is labeled as “Main menu” and “Close menu” (in English). At the moment, it is not possible to translate it [Requirement number 9.3.1.2 – Language of Parts].
  • The search button does not programmatically communicate its state (expanded or collapsed) to assistive technologies [Requirement number 9.4.1.2 – Name, Role, Value].
  • In the “other experiences” and “reviews” carousels, their functionality, relationships, and structure are not communicated through appropriate ARIA roles to assistive technologies [Requirement number 9.1.3.1 – Info and Relationships], [4.1.2 – Name, Role, Value].
  • There is an image in all footers that contains text. As a compensatory measure, it is described in the alternative text [Requirement number 9.1.4.5 – Images of Text].
  • Some structures that visually communicate their meaning, such as lists of features in the “why us” section, do not do so programmatically [Requirement number 9.1.3.1 – Info and Relationships].

Commitment to Accessibility

At The Andalusian Private Tour Co. we firmly believe that accessibility is a right and that making a better website facilitates the experience for everyone.

We have made improvements so that interactive elements such as links or buttons on the site are distinguishable and navigable via keyboard. To navigate the “other experiences” and “reviews” carousels exclusively using the keyboard, you can also use the left and right arrow keys.

Being multilingual, we have taken interlinguistic accessibility into account and translated not only visible labels and controls as much as possible, but also others necessary for assistive technologies.

Additionally, we have gone beyond current legislative requirements, meeting criteria contained in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2. This is reflected in the expansion of interaction areas so that the booking form meets Criterion 2.5.8 (Target Size Minimum).
